BOETTI²

My project is inspired by Italian conceptual artist Alighiero Boetti, known for his work with, symbols, patterns, and textiles. Fascinated by his focus on order vs. disorder and collaborative making, I incorporated his approach into my design process. Boetti’s Tutto series, rich in symbols and color, influenced how I layered ideas and left space for chance. I translated this into my work using Photoshop to rework sketches and blend craft with tech. Patternmaking became central—I used geometry, especially the square, to shape a minimalist jacket with clean lines and minimal seams. The design connects back to Boetti’s systems, simplicity, and visual complexity.
